Hi, I’m Netsai
An unforgettably wonderful season of life
My background is in law and anti-money laundering. I am an admitted attorney with legal training that sharpened my ability to interpret rules, investigate facts, structure arguments, and assess risk with care.
In my AML role at Sanlam Private Wealth, I worked across risk-based client and third-party due diligence, beneficial ownership analysis, adverse media screening, PEP review, client risk classification, enhanced due diligence, regulatory reporting, control gap identification, RMCP enhancement and audit readiness.
That experience sharpened my interest in the operational side of financial crime risk, how control environments function, how risk is escalated, where processes break down, where control gaps emerge, how regulatory expectations are translated internally, how weak systems can undermine otherwise strong judgment, and how reporting and documentation support defensible decision-making.
That interest is what led me toward analytics.
I am now building deeper technical capability in SQL, Excel and Python so that I can work more directly with data in financial crime, fraud, and compliance environments. What draws me to this space is the overlap between judgment and systems. I am interested not only in identifying risk, but also in how that risk is measured, tracked, evidenced, and acted on.
My longer-term direction sits in financial crime analytics, fraud and risk analysis, compliance systems, and data-led decision-making within regulated businesses.
